The reward of faith

Grace – God’s undeserved favour.
Praise God for His grace,
… and there’s nothing we can do to deserve His grace!

    However, does this mean that,
… we are not supposed to do any works?
… that we are not rewarded for our works?

Therefore do not cast away your confidence,
    which has great reward.
For you have need of endurance, so that after
you have done the will of God,
    you may receive the promise:
    Heb 10:35-36

And in Hebrews 11:6 we read …

But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for
he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that
He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
    Heb 11:6

You can do nothing to deserve God’s favour (grace).
However God expects you to act on His grace towards you,
… to take hold of and act on His Word in faith, and
God will reward you according to the fruit you bear,
… according to what you do with His grace in your life!

If you do nothing in response to His blessings and promises,
    … then as James wrote,

Do you see that faith was working together with his works,
and by works faith was made perfect?
For as the body without the spirit is dead,
so faith without works is dead also.
    James 2:22-26

You can do nothing to deserve His grace, His favour,
… but you make it real in your life by acting on it!
