Nothing negative here!
Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Luke 11 2
What is God’s will for mankind?
What does He want us to do or not to do?
Why did He give us the Law?
Sure, the Law tells us what is wrong,
… tells us what is negative,
and the Law was given to show up sin!
But is that how God deals with His children?
Is that how God judges us when we do wrong?
God does not want to lead us by DON’Ts.
… DON’T do this, DON’T do that.
God always shows us the right way out!
Remember, there is no negative force in heaven,
… therefore God cannot use anything negative,
… neither to teach us nor to correct us.
So what does God do?
God always shows us the positive way to go,
… the right way to speak,
… the right way to act and the right way to live!
God wants to bless us!
I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go;
I will counsel you and watch over you.
Psalm 32 8
… and not the problem!
When things go wrong in life, and
… there seems to be nothing we can do about them,
we see ourselves as victims of circumstance,
… thinking that God has probably allowed this to happen.
The result is that it becomes a pressure in our lives,
… that we struggle to cope or deal with,
because we are blaming the circumstances
… and expect God to fix what He allowed!
God however does not cause problems in our lives,
… nor does He use them to teach or judge us!
But like the Overcomer that He is,
… He is challenging us to become!
However… Challenges demand Action!
Yes, God does have an answer for every question,
and yes He also has a solution for every challenge in life!
In fact, He has already overcome,
and all we need do is to ask Him HOW.
… and He will tell you things to come.
John 16 13
Stop looking at everything that confronts you,
… as a problem,
but as a challenge that you can overcome!
All you need to remember is that God will never let you down;
he’ll never let you be pushed past your limit;
he’ll always be there to help you come through it.
1Cor 10 13 (The Message)
but the truth is!
Fact is …
… you may be sick,
… you may be broke,
… you may be lonely,
… you may need a job,
or have any other need.
BUT the Truth is …
… you are healed,
… you are redeemed,
… you are loved,
your every need is met.
Because the Truth is …
God supplies your need according to His riches.
However, the question is …
Where are you?
But seek first the kingdom of God
and His righteousness,
and all these things shall be added to you.
Eph 6 10-11
And you WILL be where the Truth is,
… waiting just for you!
So that He can be the answer you need!
… your foundation!
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for,
the evidence of things not seen.
Heb 11 1
This implies that something is or is happening!
Yet so often it seems that
… faith is not working as we think it should!
Because something is missing.
Thus also faith by itself,
if it does not have works, is dead.
James 2 17
Where does faith come from?
So then faith comes by hearing,
and hearing by the word of God.
Rom 10 17
Therefore the Bible also tells us that …
Now the just shall live by faith;
But if anyone draws back,
My soul has no pleasure in him.
Heb 10 38
So, what does that mean in my life?
God’s Word, and studying information from God’s Word
… is only the beginning, the foundation,
because God’s word, and in fact God Himself
… need to become real in my life!
Then, as I step out on His word, in faith,
… with God as my source,
is when faith becomes alive, real.
That is what the Kingdom is about
… is what faith is all about.
The foundation to life in abundance.
… was made for man!
What is the Sabbath all about?
Jesus gave us this clue…
The Sabbath was made for man,
and not man for the Sabbath.
Mark 2 27
The Sabbath is also called the 7th day,
the day in which God Himself rested
And on the seventh day God ended His work
which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day
from all His work which He had done.
Gen 2 2-3
God had finished creation for He had
… done and completed everything man would ever need!
God stopped doing as it was all done,
… all done, ready for life, for life in abundance!
BUT… man messed up, rejecting their need of God
… with the result that man now had to work in order to live.
However, God is still the loving God that He is,
… and He still wants us to live in His fullness.
Therefore, since a promise remains of entering His rest,
Heb 4 1
or we who have believed do enter that rest,
Heb 4 33
In other words, God is saying to us
… Come to ME where all that you need is prepared
by simply following Jesus instructions,
seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness,
and all these things shall be added to you.
Matt 6 33
… anything from you!
More than once Jesus made this statement…
I tell you I do not know you,
Luke 13 27
For as much as God is open to us,
… it seems we are hiding something from Him.
What we can read and find out about God,
… is what God would like to do for us.
But only what we open up to Him,
… can or will He get involved with.
God wants so much to bless us,
… but His blessings happen on His terms,
and not according to our needs or wants,
… even though He wants to supply in that need.
It is only as we open our lives to Him,
… and truly make Him LORD in our lives,
that His will shapes our lives.
… our thoughts, our decisions and our actions,
and where His will for our lives, His will to bless us,
… becomes evident and real in our lives!
For it is there where all that God has planned,
… purposed and prepared for us,
… will be accessible in our lives!
Because we have opened ourselves up to Him,
… to where His fullness becomes real in our lives,
and where …
in Him we live and move and have our being,
Acts 17 28
… in faith to …
How do we, or how should we respond to grace,
… and to what Jesus has already done?
Quite simply, by faith, for …
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for…
Heb 11 1
And furthermore the Bible also tells us …
Now the just shall live by faith
Heb 10 38 (Rom 1 17 – Gal 3 11)
So how does this faith work for me?
By responding to what Jesus Himself said He came to do…
I have come that you may have life,
and that you may have it more abundantly.
John 10 10
This really means that my part is to not only receive life,
but to practically LIVE that abundant life Jesus prepared for me,
… to live what He has already made available!
In other words, living the benefits of His sacrifice on my behalf!
Are you redeemed? – Yes! –
… then live that life free of condemnation and fear
… that He shed His blood for!
Are you healed? – Yes! –
… then live that healing that He sacrificed His body for!
That is what the apostle Paul told the Philippians, saying
work out your own salvation
Phil 2 12
By taking hold of the fullness of life,
… and LIVE in all that Jesus has already done for you,
by receiving the fullness of salvation in Christ Jesus
… and living a victorious, full and abundant life.
… is life!
For He made Him who knew no sin
to be sin for us, that we might become
the righteousness of God in Him
2 Cor 5 21
Scripture tells us that the potential,
… to be all God planned for us to be
… is there for us in Him, in Jesus!
But, what does in Him mean in my life?
Paul said this to us …
For in him we live, and move, and have our being;
Acts 17 28
Telling us plainly that
… we are not special because of what we do,
but we’re special because of what He has done!
as His divine power has given to us all things
that pertain to life and godliness,
2 Peter 1:3
In other words…
If I am in Christ, having my entire being in Him,
… living that life He came that I may have,
… then I will become who He says I am,
because He will be able to do, in my life,
… what He has planned and purposed for it.
If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you,
you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.
John 15 7
… in us and for us!
Jesus, in teaching about the Kingdom of God,
… told these two parables,
What is the kingdom of God like? And to what shall I compare it?
It is like a mustard seed, which a man took and put in his garden;
and it grew and became a large tree,
and the birds of the air nested in its branches.
Luke 13 18
To what shall I liken the kingdom of God? It is like leaven,
which a woman took and hid in three measures of meal
till it was all leavened.
Luke 13 20
These parables may seem to have little to do with each other,
however, Jesus used them to explain …
the potential of God’s kingdom in our lives!
As in a mustard seed …
God also put great potential and ability in us
… that if we recognise it, use it and develop it,
it will not only grow and benefit us,
… but has the potential to touch the lives of others!
As with the leaven,
which has the potential to develop and grow on its own,
so, as we live by faith in Him and His blessings in us,
God is able to make His plans for our lives
… grow and develop into the fullness of His blessings in us.
Yes … God created you in His image and likeness,
with all the potential to live a successful life.
The questions however is…
What are you doing about that and with that?
… relying on?
If you rely or depend on yourself
… and on your own abilities,
you will more than likely achieve
… what you are wanting to do.
No more and possibly no less!
However, if in all of your doing
… you also seek His guidance and His direction,
you will find more than you are looking for,
… and you will achieve more than you set out to do.
For I know the plans I have for you,
declares the Lord,
plans to prosper you and not to harm you,
plans to give you hope and a future.
Jeremiah 29 11
Let God show you His plans and purposes,
and lead you into the fullness of His provision for you.
And my God shall supply all your need
according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4 19
Simply by letting Him show you the way,
… in the words of the Apostle Paul, pray…
that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory,
may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the
knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being
enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling,
what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,
and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us
who believe, according to the working of His mighty power
Ephesians 1 17-19
