When we think of faith,
… we normally mean that we believe God,
and in particular,
… that we are believing God for something!
There is nothing wrong with that,
however too often what we’re believing for,
… does not manifest the way we expect!
Could it be that the problem is not faith, or the lack of it,
… but that it is about what we are believing,
in other words, our motif or expectation?
When we go to God, in faith,
… about a need we may have,
… or a promise in His Word,
what are we believing, what are we expecting?
God or the promise?
If we are truly honest,
… we expect the answer to manifest,
that what we have asked of God, will be done!
Maybe that is why the book of Hebrews tells us,
… for he who comes to God must believe that He is,
… and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
What or who are you believing,
… God’s promises or God, the provider of those promises?
What or who are you seeking,
… God’s reward or God Himself?
Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness. (Matt. 6:33)
He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. (Heb. 11:6)
