God is still God

Posted on Leave a commentPosted in Life, Trust

                                                        but is He…?

God is (not) just my God
– God is God –
He is God of my life
– because –
I have accepted Him as God in my life.

What does that mean?
Quite simply that
– God is my strong tower!

Now to Him who is able to do
      exceedingly abundantly
above all that we ask or think,
according to the power that works in us,
      Ephesians 3 20

whether or not you accept Him
– as God in your life –
this is not going to change Him,
– because God is still God.

be sure to make Him God
– not only God of your life,
– but also God in your life,
so He can also be your strong tower.

The Love Zone

Posted on Leave a commentPosted in Faith, Love, Trust

                                                … or the fear zone?

Are you in the Love zone or in the Fear zone?

In these times of extremes
affecting every area of our daily lives,
– with restrictions – uncertainty –
fake news, woke agenda, lies, etc.,

Is it in the fear zone
      – or the love zone?

For God has not given us a spirit of fear,
but of power, love and self-discipline.
      2Tim. 1 7 (NLT)

If God has not given us a spirit of fear,
then immediately exit that fear zone with all its negativity
– and move into the Love zone!

And how do we do that?
By drawing on that which God HAS given us
– a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline.

Don’t allow the news, noise and negativity
– to move you out of the love zone,
but TRAIN YOURSELF to think on.

whatever things are true, honest, just, pure, lovely,
whatever things are of good report,
and the God of peace will be with you.
      Philippians 4 8-9

What seed do I need

Posted on Leave a commentPosted in Fruit, Potential, Trust

                                                … to succeed?

We all want to be successful,
but what does it take to succeed?

Basically, in every sphere of life
      … what you put in,
      determines what you get out!

Jesus once told the parable of the sower.
Now, considering that what you put in is important,
what seed was the sower sowing?

      The sower sows the word.
      Mark 4:14

So obviously it’s not only about what we do,
… but what we say before we do, that is important!
However, there are so many words (seeds) in the Bible,
… how will I know which word seed it is that I need?

What do I need to know and say,
… that will bring a successful harvest?
Knowing we would ask, Jesus already prepared the answer.

If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you,
you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.
      John 15 7

So, firstly it’s about location – where are you?
Secondly it’s about the source – who are you listening to?
If you allow Jesus to tell you what to do,
… and you put that seed to work in your life,
you will not only be successful in life
but be investing in your future.

      By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit;
so you will be My disciples.
      John 15 8

God’s secret …

Posted on Leave a commentPosted in Choice, Life

                                            …to living a free life?

      What is God’s secret
      – to living a life that is free –
free of worries, free of regrets?

How can you know His love
– and His provision for you?

God laid the foundation saying …

And their sins and iniquities will
      I remember no more.
      Hebrews 10 17

Yes, the past is PAST
– therefore the negative is past
and has NO RIGHT in my life anymore!

So what should my response be?

Do what God said to do
      – and you will be free!
First – get reconciled to God (2 Cor. 5 20-21)
Second – move in with Him (John 15 7)

Then, without exception,
do not allow anything negative back in,
by …
casting down arguments and every high thing
that exalts itself against the knowledge of God,
      bringing every thought into captivity
      to the obedience of Christ.
      2 Corinthians 10 5

      and you shall live FREE.

The battle is the Lord’s

Posted on Leave a commentPosted in Challenge, Commitment, Faith, Life

                                                …and the victory is our’s!

for the battle is the Lord’s,
and He will give you into our hands.
      1 Samuel 17 47

Yes, the battle is the Lord’s
but we must show up for the fight!
Just like David did when Goliath threatened Israel

You have to be there to make it happen.
      God cannot fight for you
if you are not there to fight for!

Then David said to the Philistine,
“You come to me with a sword, with a spear, and with a javelin.
But I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts,
This day the Lord will deliver you into my hand.
      1 Samuel 17 45-46

So, just like David,
you have to have faith in God and in His ability,
… and put your trust in Him.

But the word is very near you, in your mouth
and in your heart, that you may do it.
      Deuteronomy 30 14 – Romans 10 8

Then as you speak His Word and will,
in faith over the situation,
God will do what He promised to do.

And this is the victory that has overcome the world
      — our faith.
      1 John 5 4

What about seeing yourself…

Posted on Leave a commentPosted in Challenge, Life, Potential, Value

                                                        … as able!

Jesus made this powerful,
life changing statement.

      If you can believe,
all things are possible to him who believes.
      Mark 9 23

But what is it that you have to believe?

‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord,
‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you
plans to give you hope and a future.’
      Jeremiah 29 11

If you are looking to God for help,
… or you are expecting something from God,
then obviously you need to know what He will do.

But how will I get to know God’s plans?
Well, all you need do is ASK…

Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you
great and mighty things, which you do not know.’
      Jeremiah 33:3

Start believing in what God says about your life,
see yourself as able (in Him)
… to take the next step,
saying to yourself,

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
      Philippians 4 13

Perfected in love…

Posted on Leave a commentPosted in Covenant, Life, Relationship

                                    A lifestyle!

Love has been perfected among us in this:
      that we may have boldness in the day of judgment;
because as He is, so are we in this world.
      1 John 4 17

Yes – love has been perfected among us,
– and as He (Jesus who is love) is, so are we
– here, today, in this world!

How do I become like Jesus in this world?
Is it all just about salvation?
How does this happen in my life?

God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God,
      and God in him
      1 John 4 16

Salvation is the starting point,
– that changes your position,
but where you live or abide,
– is what will change your life!
As John also explained to us …

He who says he abides in Him
ought himself also to walk just as He walked.
      1 John 2 6

It is a lifestyle.
Yes – we are like Jesus, perfected in LOVE!

But remember, love is not just a person,
      – LOVE is an ACTION!
God loves us so much, He did something about it!
Jesus loves us so much, He did something about it!

What about YOU?

God knows what you need

Posted on Leave a commentPosted in Expectations, Potential, Trust

                                                …even before you ask!

God knows what you need before you ask,
but He can only act on what you need,
… as you respond to His Word,
and when you ask Him according to His Word.

When Jesus encountered blind Bartimaeus,
Jesus obviously knew Bartimaeus was blind,
… and that he wanted to receive his sight.

Jesus answered and said to him,
“What do you want Me to do for you?”
The blind man said to Him,
“Rabboni, that I may receive my sight.”
      Then Jesus said to him, “Go your way;
your faith has made you well.”
And immediately he received his sight
and followed Jesus on the road.
      Mark 10 51-52

Why did Jesus want to be asked?

Because God created us with a free will,
… so unless we use our free will
… to ask and allow God to do His will in our lives,
He cannot and He will not work in our lives!

Therefore be sure to answer Jesus’ question to YOU,
what do you want Me to do for you?
So that He can …

      supply all your need
according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus
      Philippians 4 19

Life should be different!

Posted on Leave a commentPosted in Character, Life

                                    A new creation!

      Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation;
      2 Cor 5 17-21

A new species of being, with God’s nature!
However, looking at our lives,
… this seems to be little more than a promise!
So what hinders us from truly being this new creation?

To them God willed to make known what are the riches
of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles:
which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.
      Colossians 1 27

There is something we obviously need to do…

Christ in you is the potential – (where He is)
… the hope of His glory in us.
You in Christ is the reality – (where you are)
… is where that potential is released in you.

If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you,
you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.
      John 15 7

Being a New Creation is about living in Him, with Him and for Him,
… and not about where I go He goes – but where He goes I go!
It is about living and acting according to His personal instruction to you.
… and you no longer living for yourself, but living for Him, in Him!

As you allow Him to take control,
… is when that glory that He is
      … becomes real in you!
And as you take your place in Him,
… is when His glory will envelop you!

All we need do is to start living who we are in Him!

The Hope of …

Posted on Leave a commentPosted in Favor, Hope, Promises

                                                …the Glory!

We talk about a glorious victory,
but what is glory or glorious all about?

No, it is not about something you did or achieved,
… in fact, it has nothing to do with us.
For …
The glory is the manifest presence of God Himself,
and therefore
… the glory is not about us or what we do.
As Paul wrote to the church in Colossae

To them God willed to make known what are the riches
of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles:
which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.
      Colossians 1 27

But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery,
      the hidden wisdom
which God ordained before the ages for our glory,
      which none of the rulers of this age knew;
      for had they known,
they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
      1 Corinthians 2 7-8

And therefore, in Him, in the Lord of Glory
      we all, with unveiled face,
beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord,
      are being transformed
into the same image from glory to glory,

just as by the Spirit of the Lord.
      2 Corinthians 3 18

And the temple was filled with smoke
from the glory of God, and from his power
      Revelation 15 8
