Yes, He will…

When we talk about faith, Abraham comes to mind …
For what does the Scripture say?
    “Abraham believed God,
and it was accounted to him for righteousness.”
    Rom 4:3

So also the Book of Hebrews …
But without faith it is impossible to please Him,
for he who comes to God must believe that He is,
and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
    Heb 11:6

Yet somehow, in reading this,
… we think that there is something we need to do.
And yes there is …
… clearly we must believe, just as Abraham did.
But why does that so often not seem to be enough?

What is it exactly that I need to do?

Simply follow Abraham’s example,
… and you don’t need to take 25 years over it!

Yes, Abraham believed God and followed God’s instructions.
Abraham left his home and family,
… and he went to that place where God told him to go.
Yet God’s promise of a son did not manifest.

Did God not provide a son as He promised Abraham?

Yes God did, the very day He made that promise,
… but Abraham did not receive the promise as God made it,
and for the next 25 years,
Abraham tried to get a son in his own strength.

    However the son of promise,
… is not one you get in your own strength,
    but the son of promise,
… is the one you let God give you, His way!

Faith is not about what God promised,
Faith is about allowing God to do what He promised!
