The law doesn’t stop you from sinning,
… it only shows up your sin.
Grace doesn’t stop you from sinning,
… but frees you from sin!
Too often the Law is seen as
… the tool that takes care of sin,
and is there to stop sin.
if you for instance steal something,
… the law clearly says that you are guilty of stealing.
Should you then tell the judge
… that you tried not to steal,
… and that it wasn’t in your heart to steal,
he is still going to judge you according to the law,
… according to what you have done,
… and not according to your heart.
The law does not stop you from sinning,
… all it does is to show up your sin!
Grace on the other hand, works the other way around.
Grace does not judge you according to what you have done,
… but grace judges you according to your heart,
freeing you from sin and its consequences!
But God be thanked that though you were slaves of sin,
yet you obeyed from the heart
that form of doctrine to which you were delivered.
And having been set free from sin,
you became slaves of righteousness.
Remember, grace does not stop you from sinning,
but allowing Grace (God) into your life,
… opens the way for you to step into His righteousness,
… free from sin and condemnation!
